Founded in 1820 by the Scottish brothers William and John Graham, textile merchants who are said to have accepted a shipment of port as payment of a debt. Known for rich, full-bodied ports from its Quinta dos Malvedos in the Douro, it has been owned by the Symington family since 1970.
